Responsible play

Gamesurgen is free entertainment for adults. Here is how we keep it that way, and how to tell when a session has stopped being fun.

Eighteen and over

Access to Gamesurgen is limited to people aged 18 or older. We do not market to minors, and if you share a device with children we would ask you to keep this site out of their reach. The age requirement is the same on every page of the site and does not vary by location.

This is not gambling

Crestbreak Blackjack is a social game. It uses virtual coins that carry no monetary value whatsoever. Coins cannot be purchased, deposited, withdrawn, transferred, gifted or exchanged for money, goods, credit or any other item of worth. No wager is ever placed, no prize is ever awarded, and no winnings exist to be paid out. Everything here is provided for entertainment purposes only.

Because of that, nothing you do at this table carries financial risk. It also means that doing well here says nothing about how you would fare in a real-money game. Card outcomes are random by design; a streak in either direction is noise, not skill, and treating it as practice for gambling would be a mistake.

Keeping sessions in proportion

Free does not mean unlimited, at least not where your time and attention are concerned. A few habits worth holding onto:

  • Decide when you will stop before you start. A set number of hands, or a clock alarm, works better than an intention to stop “soon”.
  • Take a real break every half hour. Stand up, leave the tab, let your eyes rest on something further away than the screen.
  • Use the reset button without ceremony. Chasing a depleted balance is a habit worth not forming, even with play money.
  • Do not play to manage a mood. If you are reaching for the table because you are stressed, low or bored at 2am, that is a signal to close it.
  • Notice displacement. If play is crowding out sleep, meals, work or people, the amount of money involved is beside the point.

Signs worth taking seriously

Patterns to watch for in yourself: losing track of how long you have been playing; feeling irritable when you cannot; hiding how much time you spend here; playing through things you had planned to do; or finding that social play has sharpened an interest in real-money gambling.

If any of that lands close to home, step away from the site and talk to someone you trust. Support for gambling-related harm is available in most parts of the world through national health services, independent charities and confidential helplines; a local search or a conversation with a doctor will point you to the services operating where you are. We deliberately do not name one organisation, because the right one depends entirely on where you live.

Taking a break from Gamesurgen

There are no accounts here, so there is nothing to suspend — closing the tab ends the session completely and clears your balance. If you would like a firmer barrier, your browser or device can block the site at the network level, and most operating systems and routers offer screen-time controls that do the same job. Our support page is open if you want to talk any of this through.
