Gamesurgen
A small independent social gaming studio with one table, one rulebook and a stubborn refusal to attach a price to any of it.
Gamesurgen began with an argument about honesty. Plenty of free card games look like the real thing and behave like nothing of the sort — decks that quietly reshuffle in your favour, dealers whose rules shift when the drama sags, win screens that fire whether or not the arithmetic supports them. We wanted the opposite: a table where the cards are genuinely random, the scoring is plain enough to verify by eye, and the house is held to a rule printed in the open where anyone can read it.
The name comes from the water. A surge is not a wave you watch from a balcony; it is the mass of moving water underneath one, the part that lifts everything at once. That is the feeling we build for — the slow climb of a hand from thirteen to nineteen, the held breath before a hole card turns. Our whole visual language grew out of that idea, from the deep teal the pages sit in to the white foam crest that runs between sections.
One game, finished properly
Crestbreak Blackjack is the entire catalogue, and that is deliberate. Every hand runs on a real fifty-two card deck shuffled with a standard Fisher–Yates pass. Aces resolve as eleven or one depending on what keeps you under 21. A natural blackjack pays three to two. The dealer draws while sitting at sixteen or below and stands on any seventeen, including a soft one, and it does so identically in every single round. If you want to count what has come out of the shoe, nothing stops you.
Free is the whole model
Nothing on Gamesurgen can be bought. There is no coin store, no premium tier, no card on file and no checkout path buried three screens deep. Your balance lives in the browser tab for as long as the tab does; reload the page and it starts over at 2,500 coins, exactly as it did the first time. Those coins have no exchange rate, no cash value, and no route out of the site. They cannot be sold, gifted, traded or redeemed for anything, and we have no plans to change that.
This also means Gamesurgen is not gambling and does not present itself as gambling. We do not take wagers, hold player funds, or pay out winnings of any kind. Our site is an entertainment product, restricted to adults aged 18 and over, and the skills it exercises do not transfer into any real-money context.
How we work
The studio is small, remote and geographically scattered, which is part of why the site avoids framing itself around any one country or market. People reach us from all over, on every kind of connection and screen, so the table is built in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no heavy dependencies and no accounts to create. It loads, it deals, it works.
If something on the table behaves in a way you did not expect — a total that looks wrong, a dealer draw that seems off the stated rule — we genuinely want to hear about it. Support is the fastest way through, and our responsible play guidance covers how to keep sessions in proportion.
